Algarve hotels

Our recommended booking agent is Hotels.com. It lists a wide range of hotels. You can view the comments of guests who have stayed in a particular hotel to help you make a good choice.

Once you are in the area or using local websites, you can book accommodation through the local tourist information offices, or they will at least help you to make a booking yourself. You can explore the options on the Algarve Tourist Information website. Portugese public libraries often have PCs (with an internet connection) available for use free of charge, even by visitors.

Algarve B&Bs

We have found a good source for booking quality small guesthouses and Bed and Breakfasts on the web, namely:

You can also access information via Google Maps by typing in "B&B" or "Bed and Breakfast" when you have a map of the area open on your screen.

Algarve Villas

Generally you need to book a villa or an apartment for 3 or more days, probably a week in high season, but for a family with young children this can be an economical way of enjoying the area.

The terms "holiday apartment", "villa" and "letting" are used to cover the various options.

Algarve campsites

A good provider of campsite information is Eurocamping.
