• The Balearic Islands to the east of mainland Spain in the Mediterranean and
• The Canary Isles to the west of Africa in the Atlantic, these tend to be warmer and windier

The islands are not named after the little birds, however in high summer the islands can be filled up with flying visitors from Europe.  Once away from shoulder and high season the less popular islands become bike friendly.  Of these Fuerteventura is our preferred option.
